Jaymie & Marvin’s event was a very special one for me, especially because it was my very first Northern California wedding…
Jaymie and I went to high school together, in fact at one point during our senior year, I lived with her and her parents in their Cottonwood home. Thanks to Facebook, we’ve been able to keep in contact over the years, and when she asked me to photograph her wedding, I couldn’t have been more excited!
I asked my Dad to second shoot with me, as he lives there still and is really great with a camera in his hands. We had a blast working together and he didn’t even take offense that I was technically his “boss” that day (haha, thanks Dad!).
We stole the couple away for a few minutes at the beginning of the reception for some epic portraiture. Since Jaymie booked us, I had envision of them in a field with golden grasses and a huge gnarled oak tree. We had to adventure down the road a little bit, but we found the perfect spot and were able to execute with light fading quickly…
I was honored to have not only attended, but been the chosen photographer to capture their celebration. In fact, I was in tears all day, hiding behind my camera….
Please enjoy a few of my favorites from one of the most touching and beautiful weddings I’ve ever gotten to photograph!
