Amanda & Sam had the most perfect wedding day – a dream for a Denver wedding photographer. Held at the historic Oxford Hotel, it was classic and elegant, and they had a lot of fun with it too.
This is the story of Amanda & Sam’s Denver wedding photography experience.
Amanda & Sam met in High School, though they weren’t really friends. It was a mutual post on Facebook that they commented on that re-introduced them. They dated for a year and a half after Sam moved back to Denver, and in March this year, he appeared home one day with a tear in his eye. Amanda was worried to see him home in the middle of the day, but after telling her how much he loved her, he pulled a ring out of his pocket and proposed!
The Engagement Shoot started with a bang…or rather, a crash. While pulling up to meet with them at The Denver Coliseum for their motorcycle themed shoot, Sam took a spill on his prized possession, his Harley. He was a little banged up, a little shaken up, but mostly upset that his “baby” was broken. Other than some cosmetic blemishes (on both the Harley and Sam himself), everything seemed to be okay and we did the shoot anyway!
The wedding day came, and it was relaxed and full of light-hearted happiness on both sides. My favorite part is the fact that because the hardwood floors in the Ballroom at the Oxford are re-purposed from the infamous local bowling alleys of Celebrities (a sports center from many local’s childhoods), they decided to wear bowling shoes for the reception!
