Karie & Chris | Clocktower Wedding in Denver

Karie & Chris came to Denver from Dallas for their Clocktower Wedding

“We met at a comic book store… Chris works with my mom (and their co-worker who is our officiant). They both teased me about how we would be perfect for each other but nothing happened for a while.   It wasn’t until my mom emailed Chris asking him to hang out with me at our local Comic Con. Shortly after, Chris invited me to go to a podcast at a Comic Book store. I had never read a single comic book in my life. ..so that went well.” -Karie

The Proposal

From Chris:  “I proposed during our trip to Washington, D.C., and had been planning it for a long time. I was certain she knew it was coming. It was my plan to propose during our moonlit tour of the monuments, and I had a white knuckle grip on the ring box in my pocket the entire evening – afraid I’d lose it or she would see it.”

Karie didn’t see it coming

“We were on a Moonlit tour of the Washington monuments. Our last stop was the Lincoln Memorial. We climbed up all the stairs and I was really concerned about getting a picture with the Martin Luther King quote on one of the steps. I kept dragging Chris back to it because I didn’t like how it turned out. After, I started going down the stairs to go back to the bus and Chris said he wanted to go back up. I was irritated because we had already gone up/down like 3 times. He said he wanted to find where it was engraved with “Texas”. Once we got there, he got down on one knee.” – Karie

Fast forward to a chilly January day in Denver!

Karie was all smiles and Chris was all teary when he saw her come off the elevator.  The First Look was something he was looking forward to the most and it was an incredibly sweet moment between them!

The whole event was just so beautiful, sweet, and fun.  It was just exactly how a wedding should be!  We had so much fun photographing it for them and are honored to have been there.
