Allison & Jeff hired me over the phone, as they live in Montana – he works in the oil fields and she manages a tanning salon. I knew they were fun and easy going based on our conversations planning the photographic part of the wedding, but I had no idea what they even looked like until we finally got to meet a couple weeks before the wedding! We had so much fun at our final meeting, I couldn’t wait till the wedding day. Arriving at the new Renaissance Hotel in Denver had me floored! It’s housed in a historical building that hosted one of Colorado’s oldest banks – 100 year old murals and old vault doors made this location spectacular and perfectly unique – that kind of thing is right up my alley! While I shot the girls getting ready at the hotel, my assistant was hanging out with the guys a couple of blocks away at the D & F Clock Tower, where that evening’s celebration was to take place. Finally the guys came to the hotel for their First Look, and it was party time from then on. The Bridesmaids & Groomsmen were stunning themselves and we had a blast! After messing around quite a bit in the lobby, getting some gorgeous bridal party portraits, and portraits of the Bride & Groom, it was time to head to the D & F Clock Tower – this group stopped traffic…literally. Allison & Jeff were game for anything and I took full advantage, so we got some killer shots on the balconies above the city at sunset, and after the sun went down at the very tip-top of the tower. We had to time our shoot perfectly between the 1/2 hour as to not get our heads blown off with the sound of the bell – we made it just in time…Such a beautiful, elegant, and urban celebration – everyone was super fun and Allison & Jeff stood out as a fun-loving and completely head-over-heels, in-love couple …right up my alley.
