The Lyons Farmette

A gorgeous Colorado wedding venue on a real working farm

Our first time getting to shoot at Lyons Farmette, this amazing Colorado wedding venue, we were in LOVE at first sight! The grounds are stunning, and the LIGHT that comes through the trees is enough to make any photographer have hearts in their eyes. To say we were ready to move in would be an under-statement! The staff on site was fantastic to work with – the fun furniture and details around – it’s an actual working farm – the lushness and the flowers everywhere – and of course the animals! Our team was lucky enough to meet the new baby, a sweet little alpaca! Of course, the vintage pick up trucks that seem to stand guard over the venue were our favorite touch and we couldn’t get enough…it’s boutique contemporary elegance and a peaceful, intimate, homey farm feel.

We’re a working organic farm and education center with a mission to support and empower our local food community through our workshops, CSA, and farm dinners. We also host beautiful weddings and events throughout the growing season.

The Lyons Farmette is a 5 acre property near the St. Vrain River just outside the town of Lyons. Weddings here are surrounded by our small organic farm, where we grow vegetables, herbs, and flowers for farmers’ markets, our 30-member CSA, local restaurants, and for our weddings. We have chickens, a lovable Nubian goat named Waylon, alpacas, and one magnificent llama, who all make a fun addition to your wedding party. Brides and their entourage can get ready in our charming restored Airstream trailer. The farm is an intimate space surrounded by rustling cottonwood trees and the glitter of the sun from our small stream. We grow and design beautiful flowers for your event, and we can provide organic produce for your dinner. The Farmette is the place for a unique, authentic, and natural wedding true to your adventurous spirit and uncommon love.

The Farmette was started by long-time Colorado residents Betsy & Mike. With the intention of establishing a community center in Lyons, Colorado, they have brought together their passions for art, animals, locally-grown food, education & environmental sustainability. The Farmette has evolved and also hosts beautiful farm dinners and weddings. You will usually see Mike on his tractor & Betsy with the goats, hens, alpacas and llama.
